When you drag and drop on a PC and drag the image file over the "upload attachments" are of the screen then the text changes to something like "drop objects here". So you don't drag and drop into the comment section. Despite that pasting into the comment section does appear to work. Of course grag and drop can't be used on Android.
In Greenshot, I was not able to drag the image out of the editor (greenshot restriction?), so I saved to desktop, and was able to drag and drop from the desktop into the forum comment section. I was also able to drag over "upload attachments" and I saw the message you mentioned. I imagine this would be useful for non image files (logs, etc).

One thing I discovered - I can drag and drop out of myphoneexplorer onto my desktop, then d&d from desktop directly into comment section of forum. I was not able to d&d from mpe to forum. But, a procedure for the music thread posting (android) - phone screenshot->d&d from mpe to desktop->d&d desktop to forum. Pretty quick.

Try by simply selecting the table above and copy, paste to a new post then select the table button to insert a line

I tried, but in reply window, the table is in code:

Maybe we need to think about this a bit. Maybe mherger can chime in on the multi edit of a first post thought. Maybe there is a community mechanism in vbullitain that would allow community edit, and our thread would link to it (guessing here)

We could also do a new forum category, with each thread being a tool. First post in each thread is the written by person introducing it, following posts are comments, tips, questions, from those who use it. Similar to Linux->pcp8 (thread)->intro(post) then user posts.

I like the table idea. and the productivity tools idea. (and Jim, foobar2000 does a really nice job on adding ReplayGain tags, as does dbpoweramp. I use both. and both can do easy batch jobs, by album, by folder, etc.)

What if you do the copy to clipboard in Greenshot editor - almost top left - and paste into comment box. That works for me but I don’t have the phone explorer software in the chain

Those are all on my list. I use Foobar2000 on phones as a player and it’s in my Needledrop chain to add RG tags.

I will start something off in next couple of days but I’m light on Mac & Linux desktop tools as although all my servers are Linux I never use the desktop

I'm a windows guy, so also light on linux/mac, but once we get the table going, I'll do some research on some of the tools and at least note platforms they run on. My chain includes only dbpa, foobar2000, mp3tag, and sometimes CueTools for repairs of rips from their database.

Yea, that is what I would normally do, but slarti was exploring options. I can see:
                    • For direct post of photos/screen shots - d&d from mpe to desktop, then d&d from desktop to forum message area
                    • For markups - mpe to have photo file on pc, open then greenshot screen, or open in greenshot, markup/crop, copy to clipboard, paste in forum.

The thought being your "what are you listening too?" posts (screen shots) from and android could be as easy as my first bullet.

I hear you! At work, my favorite response to people that are asking for things I don't care about is, "That <insert task/topic> is number 101 of the top 100 things I'm thinking about right now."

Just been trying to edit 'Customise my Style' via My Profile and whilst I can make changes they are not saved (yes, I clicked the 'save' button). This is on a Win11 PC and Chrome.

Also are there any plans to offer a different style such as 'dark'? All that white screen on a big monitor is blinding!

You can pick different skins from a menu in the footer. By default it says "Logi".
