schoeppi After a few days with the new forum I believe the simplest for you would be to subscribe to all the RSS feeds. This would give you new topics. Then, when you're interested in a topic, you open the thread and click the "Subscribe" button. Thereafter you should get an email whenever there's a new message in a thread. You'd still have to come to the forum to write a message, but you could read in the email agent, and you'd get direct links to the corresponding posting.

A line of conversation in this thread has been how to cut and paste with android in the new forum which is not as straight forward as iphone. Maybe we got carried away, but I now have something that is much easier than the old forum for me and I thought I would share.

Screenshots in Android are not put into the clipboard by default, but saved as images. I think it would be easier to just upload them in stead of trying to introduce yet another step in the process.

I will kick off the Productivity Tools thread if you don't want to - let me know.
The table bit was more of an experiment but it did occur to me that to be valid the Productivity Tool list would need to be updateable so I was trying to see how easy it was to do and its easy.
As to Sticky. I think that is only in mherger 's gift. He did also say it was possible to close threads and thought we were able to do it but I can't see how.Jim

I have found that the Ultralight skin (https://forums.slimdevices.com/forum...-5-0-released= ) does allow the cover image to be copied to the clipboard from Chrome on Android 13, and then the image can be pasted into a forum post. It turns out to be a fairly simple process, after all. And if Craig gives Material the capability to copy to the clipboard, it will be much easier still.Jim

Material debug: 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json (Use http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json,cometd to also see update messages, e.g. play queue) 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open console tab in developer tools 4. REQ/RESP messages sent to/from LMS will be logged here.

One thing though - it would be really nice if the first post could be editable by all. Similar to the "announce" threads, where the author continues to update the first post with information as the plugin, etc changes through the thread. Paul Webster 's Radio Now Playing is a good example, of a constantly evolving first post. But we would want anyone that wants to add a tool, add it to that list.
The other option is a new forum category, say "tools" where each thread can be a different tool - Greenshot, etc
I wonder if this is possible. Since we mothballed the squeeze wiki, we don't want to go back

I don't think you can extend the edit permissions to all though.
On the Announce type threads the original author often posted 2 or 3 blank posts immediately after the first post to accommodate significant updates without modifying the original.
What I had in mind was a facilty where we started with a table and then when someone wanted to add they would copy and paste the table from the last post to a new post and add a line(s) - that way the latest post would always be the definitive list
Whole table copied from post RE: Cover art
One new line addedTry by simply selecting the table above and copy, paste to a new post then select the table button to insert a lineName Description Windows Mac Linux Link MP3Tag De facto tagging tool X X https://www.mp3tag.de/en/ Greenshot Screenshot tool X This line added
