    Randomresets of SB3

My venerable SB3 has been exhibiting some unusual behaviour for a few months and is now beggining to bean annoyance. At apparently random points in the day while in play mode the unit does a power cycle and restarts. At the point of the reset a 'clip' sound is heard over the speakers that is similar to the sound of a power bar trip. The SB3 resets and does not restart playing but leaves the analog VU meter display on the screen with no motion.

If I then press Play the last playing program continues.

I have changed the power cable and the speaker cables, and the speaker, and the power outlet and the same result happens. My other SB3 is not exhibiting this behaviour.

Before I do a Factory reset on the errant SB3 I want to know if anyone else has seen this happen. Further does anyone have any advice on a complete reset other than the Factory Reset option in the LMS menu.

    thanks for any help

It looks 99% like the usual failing capacitors issue. See the other thread where we discussed that
