Is this the Boom Mk2 that Logitech should have made ?
It's on Amazon.com too, for $30 less. Although that's also US only. I got mine from the preorder.. you may have to email them asking about early access if you live outside the US.
What I'd like to see is a review of this, comparing it to the Boom with respect to sound quality and other factors like portability. Not clear if it can be run via a battery. Certainly seems promising!

I love it! At 10 watts, the sound isn't as powerful as what I had hoped for, but loud enough for 95% of my consumption around the house. 60% volume is the level my wife can stand (we have different music tastes). Bass is surprisingly good. Not so much with the high frequency. I'm not an audiophile.. so take my comment with a grain of salt.
What I like about it most isn't the sound. It's the overall design. I can't believe I'd appreciate a tablet this much (as far as OS goes). Other than TV, this box is now my go to place for anything entertainment related.
I've only read the specs and it does look interesting and I've already got Squeezeplayer. One note is the "10 watts" is really 5 per channel, but this would be perfect @ the hot tub!
Main system - Rock Solid with LMS 8.3.1 on WHS 2011 - 2 Duets ( both WiFi, farthest unit gets 60% signal strength and always works since new power supply) and Squeeseslave
Cabin system - Rock solid with LMS 8.3.1 on Win10 Pro - 1 RPi 3 Model B (WiFi) /Hifiberry DAC+ Pro/PiCorePlayer and Squeezeslave
Squeezebox Boom - "At Large" player around both home and cabin
Headphones and car - Android phone/Bluetooth w/full library on MicroSD card - PowerAmp music player app (similar to Material Skin)
Have you tried to sync it with other players? If so, how does it perform?
Thanks for the report, by the way. It's good to finally see some new products that can take advantage of LMS.
I’m down to one SB Touch and a Raspberry Pi. Mac Mini as a server (OS X Catalina). iPeng is my controller of choice. LMS 7.9.4. Erland’s plug ins are what keep me in the ecosystem.
And one other question. Noticed you had a Boom sitting in the background. How does it compare sound wise to the Boon? Thanks!

Just placed an order on Amazon. I will review it when its arrives. I will be using it to replace my Archos Home connect http://store.archos.com/archos-home-...27.htm?id=5027 I have been using as my bedroom clock for the past few years. I use tune in, podcast player, and squeezeplayer on it now, and I am hoping for the same setup on the Avy. The downside of the Archos are the small screen, limited app compatibility, and difficult to use touchscreen, so I am looking forward to the upgrade. The units arrives Thursday.
