Do you have UTF8 support enabled on your system? Can you share the system information part found on Settings/Information? I'm using filenames like 'Walo Lüönd.jpg' successfully.

Well, that's odd. I assume the filesystem isn't something like FAT32, but a "Linux native"? What if you created one of those files yourself? Would it be picked up by MAI?

Yes, manually renamed a picture to Nils Wülker and it has been found. The filesystem is ext4.

Maybe the problem is with my ID3-tags, they have been encoded in ISO-8859-1

Let's take Till Brönner. I rewrote all ID3 in UTF-8, artist: Till Brönner. Then I deletet all pictures in artists photos folder of him, restartet the LMS and did a new search. Now there are no more errors but again scary symbols in the filename.

Then there is one more thing. My audio folders on Ubuntu-Mac are shared via SMB and I populate them from my Mac-Mac. Now I have also uploaded a review.txt and then unfortunately an actually invisible file is also displayed as a text file. It shouldn't be like that, should it?

Argh... I hate those... They're all over the place on my NAS. Doesn't hurt me (I'm the Mac user), but on my wife's Windows machine they're a mess.

Can character size be increased?

I use squeezelite and jivelite provided by picoreplayer. The raspberry pi HDMI output is connected to my TV set.
The Music&Artist information plugin is great. Unfortunately, the font size of the information displayed, e.g. artist information, is too small to be easily read on my 50" TV set.
Is there a way to increase the font size?

The MAI plugin is not responsible for the presentation of the information. This would be a Jivelite question.

Did you read the replies to the post you quoted? Start there and mess around with Jivelite skins.

Hello, can someone please confirm that Allmusic is currently having a massive problem delivering images. MAI only gives me standard symbols and it doesn't look any better on the Allmusic website. It's stupid that you can't even temporarily switch off Allmusic in MAI if there's obviously a problem.

Images are working for me in the Artist information from MAI.

Can you provide a little more information? Images in what context? Covers? In bios?

One screenshot from allmusic.com, one from artist browse view and the server.log from the artist browse view (MAI log setting is DEBUG).
Most of my artist pictures in browse view are empty and I think it can't be that Allmusic has no pictures from Adele or Abba.

I saw this issue on MAI Bio a few days ago. I think it is a temporary cache failure at one or more of AllMusic’s CDN servers. The following day the images for the artist in question were back.
it doesn’t explain the lack of Artist images in your Artist list though unless you were really unlucky timing wise.

I suppose if the check box to cache artist pictures is not ticked the Artist list would be affected.
