  • Thanks for that Robert

So this morning (after working on this all day yesterday) if I go in through Qobuz>Favorites>Albums the problem remains- there is still no option in the three dots to select Add to Favorites. The option to Add to Favorites if I click on the album (after the list of tracks) is there but it does nothing.
However, if I go in through My Music>Albums and click the three dots and select Add to Favorites (this was there yesterday) it now does work, the album appears in Favorites. And it will play and there is album art, unlike yesterday when it appeared but would not play and there was no album art.

    So some progress.

    • I think the difference is that Apps>Qobuz>My Favourites lists the tracks/albums tagged as favourites on Qobuz, whereas My Music>New Music is showing LMS entries, so when you click the three dots on a Qobuz album it all works...

Just to clarify a few things. The latest plugin release is 2.9.2. I'm assuming that 2.9.3 was a typo. The "Add to Favorites" option after the Qobuz album track listing DOES work, but it adds the album to your Qobuz favorite albums, not to the LMS Favorites. Confusing, I know. There is currently not an option in the Qobuz album view to add the album to your LMS Favorites, as there is for individual tracks. I'm not sure if the option was there at one time or not but see no reason why it couldn't be added.

One last thing. There were small windows of time in the past few months where some bugs existed in the area of adding Qobuz titles to LMS Favorites. You might want to look through your Favorites and delete/re-add entries that don't look right. The Qobuz albums in your Favorites list should be of the form: "qobuz:album:album_id". Tracks should look like "qobuz://147422022.flac".

        • Thanks both.

          Sam, yes typo for 2.9.2
Wow that is confusing but thanks for pointing it out..especially as the albums are already favourites in Qobuz by virtue of the fact of that's how they are there!
          Anyhow good to know.

So the favourites derived from My Music>Albums are working fine now in LMS 'Favorites'. However the format is db:album.title=The%20Blue%20Mask&contributor.name= Lou%20Reed and not the qobuz://147422022.flac format.

But they have artwork and play.

Yeah. Unfortunately, that page is generic for any album list -- not just favorites. It could probably be changed to make it more context-aware. I'll look into that, as well as seeing if "Add to Favorites" might be added to the drop-down menu for albums as it is for tracks.

Regarding the format of the Qobuz entries in your LMS Favorites, have you added a Qobuz album recently? If not, please try it and let me know what it looks like. It should be in the "Qobuz:album:xxxxxx" format now. If it is not, you might need to upgrade to a more recent LMS 8.4 nightly build.

            • Hi Sam

Yes just added some today and it's using the "db:album.title" format not the "Qobuz:album.xxxx" format
But it's all good like I say, album art and audio..

Happy to try a nightly..where do I get?

              Thanks

                  Thanks, SamY.

On your previous report regarding the missing composer tag creating a new subheading for the same work (the example of the release with some unavailable tracks), I changed the break back to work only rather than composer+work, which sorted out the grouping, but led to subtitles without the composer when the track with the missing composer was the first of the work.

I'm looking at some options to fix this, which would involve processing all tracks in the work (or at least until we find a track with a composer tag) before pushing the subheading. This isn't delaying the release at present, because Michael is not available to review the changes this week.

Hey, Darrell. Any updates? Looking forward to getting these changes merged into the main code branch.

could the text say “Add to Qobuz Favourites”?

Exactly what I had in mind at the very least. Ideally, it would also be able to toggle the Favorited status on and off.

yes please, , currently it still confuses me .
does the all-black SB sound better than the white SB?

                          • Perhaps it would be a good idea to change the code in LMS such that all confusion is removed

                            Save to LMS favourites
                            Save to Qobuz favourites
                            Save to Spotty favourites
                            etc

As things stand it’s unclear where you are saving to

I've just pushed my latest changes for Michael's review. There is not yet a solution to the unstreamable item/missing composer issue.
