Nominations for Recommended 3rd Party Plugins

    > That page is
    > http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.ph...r_repositories

I was wondering what action we should take here. In my experience trying
to keep the "truth" in more than one place will always lead to one being
outdated, or them being out of sync. I maintain the repository file for
LMS, because I consider it the one source of truth. Should we kill the
wiki page? Or refer to the raw XML file?

Nominations for Recommended 3rd Party Plugins

Squeezecenter 7.3 and later includes a list of recommended 3rd party plugins as part of the Extension Downloader mechanism for installing plugins.

Members of this forum can propose new entries for the recommended list and flag if existing entries are no longer supported and so should be removed.

To be considered for the recommended list a plugin should be:
    - already published via an Extension Downloader repository and listed on the repository wiki (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.ph...r_Repositories)
    - supported by several users of this forum and reviewed to ensure it does not have malicious intent
    - suitable for the majority of users and so does not require excessive memory or other resources which are likely to impact the normal performance of SqueezeCenter
    - agreed by Logitech and not overlapping with core Squeezecenter functionality

To ensure we only include popular plugins which have been reviewed and are known not to include malicious code, recommendations should be supported by 3 "senior" forum members, one of which has reviewed the code.

[If you would like to comment on the recommendation process please post to: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=56697 and keep this thread for nominations.]

Please use this thread for your nominations.

I'd nominate QuickAccess. I've used it for many years without trouble.

I nominate the ones that I always install immediately whenever I upgrade:

Erland's plugins, especially Custom Browse and Scan, Multilibrary and TitleSwitcher
        MusicInfoSCR
        iPeng

Others are always secondary to these - the ones above have been instrumental in my choice of adoption of lots of SqueezeDevices!
Own music plus Qobuz, PC, UPNP/DLNA bridge, JRiver as digital XO
System 1: Lynx AES16, 5x SMSL DACs, various amps, 5 way horns
System 2: Asus Xonar u7, Restek Sixtant, Heybrook Sextet
        3xBoom, 1xRadio

          I second those, plus Trackstat.

I'll also nominate Reset Volume because it can save your ears.

As well as those already listed I'd like to add BBCiPlayer

I accept it's mainly of interest to those in the UK.

Just two - Weather time is a constant that I appreciate. Wave Input gets occasional use.

Custom Browse, a must have on the Boom with a large collection. This prevents a lot of scrolling.
Setup: 1 Touch, 4 Booms and 1 Radio.
Server: LMS 7.8 (DebianVM in Proxmox), Tonido for webbased playback
