I love this plugin! Much better than the standard "Now Playing" that comes with Squeezebox. But, I would like to have the single line display do something like:
TITLE.... pause x seconds.... clear and display ARTIST.... pause x seconds.... clear and display ALBUM.... and so on. X seconds could be defined by the user in the settings tab.

The main issue I'm running into right now is the added complexity of the
settings pages with every new feature. I hesitate adding new modes or
screen configurations until I've reworked the settings procedure. One day
I'd like to see a screen editor, in which you can configure various
layouts, and a screen where you can assign one such layout to the
different modes. It would then be easy to have eg. flip a saver through
various layouts. But I doubt that day is close :-(.

I'd like something like that too, but perhaps press Now Playing to flip through the display modes.
I wonder if it might be possible to copy the MusicInfoScreensaver plugin a few times, renaming the copies MusicInfoScreensaver1 ..2 ..3, etc. Configure different settings for each one, and then use SaverSwitcher to switch between the different screensavers every n seconds.

This is now possible if you use MusicInfoSCR together with the just announced Title Switcher plugin, see here for more information:
This is awesome! Are you planning to add more capabilities such as displaying genre, bitrate, etc.? I tried to put those in and when I save the settings, the line clears itself.

Hi,
genre and bitrate are possible today, first define the appropriate format (settings->interface->title format), e.g GENRE for genre or KBPS for bitrate and then use this format within MusicInfoSCR/Titleswitcher.
I just stumbled across a bug although I have been using the plugin for a long time.
I use the one line display. If I use the TITLE on the left and CURRTIME on the right then the text scrolls as desired. However, if I swap the two pages, the time is not displayed and the text does not scroll either.

I don't even remember... it's been a long time since I've been working
on this!
Oldie but Goldie I hope i'm not the last/only one using this fine plugin in SB3. Just repaired my original slimdevices SB3 and I want to change sides to save VFD from burn-in at the clock part.
Maybe some can check if this is a general problem. @mherger if so, is there any chance you might find some minutes to take a another little look on your plugin?
