Sorry to those who updated to 0.0.28 in the last few hours.
An annoying issue with cover art in some situations was found due to some new code in that release.
Hopefully this resolves it.

Thanks for the plugin.

How do you feel about simplifying the language in the plug-in Settings from:



to more direct language, along the lines of:

Do not display album name:                         [i] [x]

Display programme/show icon (if possible)          [i] [x]

Append label/publisher to album name (if possible) [i] [x]

etc, and use the [i] tooltip to show more complete info?

Listening to RTBF radios every day thanks to your plugin! :-)
As you suggested - I've sent them a message about their inconsistant metadata management. Will see if they ever respond.

Just to come back on my post (#685), the main icon in main menu doesn't look ok on black background/Jive FYI. See screenshot ;-)

Can someone in USA try playing the geo-locked WRSI https://wrsi.com to see if there is song info when played via LMS?

Ideally try in LMS via TuneIn (because they provide exra metadata that LMS can use) and RadioNet (because they do not provide extra metadata)

I think I could add artist, song and their cover art but there is not much point me adding it if the info is already present.

Via tune in, it plays with artist/song info, but no album art. Note that it's only 64kbps MP3

- Change plugin png icon from transparent background to white
- Add WFMU and its 3 web-only stations - artist, title, coversearch and occasional programme name

Without the plugin, I think WFMU would display something like
"Song Title" by Artist Name on Programme Name
and without coverart.
While this tells you what you need to know - it is not really how things are supposed to work.
So with the plugin you should see artist, title, album name and coverart (via coversearch) and sometimes will see the programme name.

Some PBS shows and lots of music shows - the ones I have heard seem to be DJ-lead indie-ish - plus automated overnight.
Sometimes there is no song info - check their web site first to see if they are showing something playing before wondering if the plugin is missing something.

- Add 60 North Radio - artist, title with coversearch including for experimental FLAC stream

Without the plugin you would have received artist and title thanks to built-in LMS handling of in-stream metadata for their MP3 and AAC streams - plus, if not in UK and played by TuneIn then you would have received cover art as well (I expect).
But not for the flac stream.
With the plugin you should get it for the flac stream and can use the menu to select which stream to listen to (flac, [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]).

Most of the time the station is on automatic playlist. However, evenings and week-ends they do have some specific shows - based in Shetlands.

- BigFM changed their metadata and the names of a few stations

Unfortunately their data is currently about 90 seconds ahead of what is playing.
Perhaps a regular listener could confirm if that is always the case.

Also, I see that their parent company ( https://audiotainment-suedwest.de/ ) has some other radio stations in their group and they seem to use the same data format so I expect that I will be able to add them as well.
