Any news about this?

Not really. I have worked a little to educate myself on dealing with cookies in Perl with little success. If I get to the point where I can make it work with a standalone Perl program, I will still have a hurdle to incorporate it into the LMS/SDT plugin. If anyone can point me to another LMS plugin that uses cookies, I could start there.

SDT Stocks are no longer working.

For those of you have been using the Stocks feature of SDT you may want to clear any stock symbols in the Settings>Advanced>SDT tab of LMS. This will keep your server log from filling up with entries similar to the following.

I think I know what is needed to restore stock prices to SDT, but could use some advice on how to include cookies in an HTTPS request with Perl.

Is there a website where I can lookup my closest weather station? I'm using my zip, but the past few days (maybe longer) it seems to consistently be several degrees too low. Thanks.

You can try weather underground. https://www.wunderground.com/ It will give the closest station based on zip code but allow you to select other data stations. I'm not sure if it works with the SDT, as I've never used the plugin. I think it is loosely affiliated with weather.com through IBM.

I agree with @agburnsky. https://www.wunderground.com/ is a good place to find weather stations close to you. Keep in mind that most stations are personal and therefore accuracy can vary.

I can also confirm that Weather Underground stations can be used with SDT. You will need to adjust the macro variables to show weather underground readings instead of weather.com readings. There is a separate field in SDT settings for Weather Underground stations. You will need to keep your zipcode in the field for the weather.com station.

The Wundermap view on the Wunderground website is a good way to select a station close to you. You can also see temperature readings from multiple stations at once and select a station that has readings that match what you're expecting.

Did you check under "Unsupported Plugins"?

It's there. Forgot to "apply" when I ticked the "unsupported plugins" box. Turns out it is not needed unless you want to modify the applet though, so I'll leave well enough alone. Thanks!

For whatever reason, my old LMS 7.9 instance gave up the ghost; hangs on startup. I decided to start fresh with 8.3.1 on a Mac since 7.9 is so old, and all seems OK except for two issues with SDT:

1. I cannot find Custom Clock Helper anywhere on the 3rd party plugins section on the server config. Is it in a non-standard repo? That said, the applet on my Radio is still there so SDT mostly works, except for:
2. The (Sunset xx;xx) does not display the time, just the (Sunset ) placeholder.
3. And -- I don't know where the word "Sunset" is even configured for display; I don't see that on any of the formatting screens on the player config section for SDT.

EDIT: All of a sudden the sunset time decided to populate. I still would like to know why Custom Clock Helper doesn't show in the available 3rd party plugins list, though...
EDIT 2: "Sunset" is in the CCH plugin directory tree. I guess I'll just grab it from my old box and lay it down on my Mac and hope it's still compatible with the newer stuff.
