[Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)

    > I have an album in Spotty that I simply cannot get removed. It is
    > Phoebe Bridger's "Punisher". Its tracks are duplicated, I'm trying to
    > remove it, so I can re-add it with just one copy of the tracks.

Thanks for your log file. I'm wondering whether this is a temporary
issue. We've seen such things before: items would be replaced/removed,
but they'd stay around for a bit, though non-functional.

Now what makes your case interesting is that the non-functional version
of the album seems to be perfectly fine here in Switzerland:
    https://open.spotify.com/album/2xECuqnvvmVktV7UO8Dd3s.

But the data in the log is inconsistent. It should either have an
"is_playable" flag, or an "available_markets" markets list of countries.
But the former does not exist, and the latter is empty. Spotty would
only filter by "available_markets" if it was not empty, as some items
would _always_ come with an empty list...

So please try to unfavorite the above album and/or give it some time.
This might be a data issue on Spotify's end. It wouldn't be the first time.
    Michael

[Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)

I'm happy to announce Spotty v4.0.0. This release adds support for the new online library integration of Logitech Media Server 8.0 (pre-release only!). This integration will list your favourite albums and artists from Spotify (and other supported streaming services) together with your local library. Quick search, random albums etc. will all give you access to your Spotify favourites, too.

Please note that LMS 8 still is under development. If you feel adventurous, then go install it from the usual source of nightly builds. But please be prepared to update often - and to see the random issue here and there.

      Hi Michael

Is there anything I need to do to make this work, a setting somewhere maybe? I've updated LMS to latest nightly (8.0.0 - 1585823230) and Spotty to 4.0.0 but I don't see any of my saved Spotify albums mixed in with my local albums. I'm running everything on PiCorePlayer 6.0.0-rc1.

I've tried doing a 'Clear library and rescan' in case that made a difference.

I tried adding a couple of Spotify albums to favourites by selecting the heart icon in the LMS web interface but that didn't help.

      Cheers

Heh... I should probably enable by default the big new feature of LMS8 :-)

I just went from LMS 7.9.2 to 8, following the instructions here: https://www.picoreplayer.org/how_to_upgrade_lms.shtml

When I checked plugins "Online Music Library Integration" were already installed.

It will be great fun to try this out with music from Spotify and Tidal in my library.

Thank you for your great work Michael!

I'm sorry Michael but I cannot tell you with certainty whether there were tracks in the queue or not.
But it is very likely indeed since I'm often streaming playlists.

                            I hope this helps.
                            Kind regards
