OK got it 👍. I don't bother with them though since they come from TuneIn and it isn't worth using in the UK. You should investigate the various plugins available in LMS for Radio. Radio Now Playing is a good example but there are many others. There is even a "Radio Favourites" plugin.

Thanks for the detailed information, Craig. I don't like the idea of mixing item types in a list either, whether it can be handled or not. I'm going to change those items to empty playlists and display the 'non-streamable' message on the resulting screen, along with any other useful info. I agree with Darrell, though, that when an icon is included in a text item, it should ideally be displayed along with the text. Thanks to both of you for the input.
      Hi cpd73,

Would you consider extending (or even abolishing) the limit for individual album lists? In Qobuz, by design, they include various item types - playlists, headings, info text, links to stuff, as well as the actual tracks, and there are many "box sets" out there which run to over 100 items.

      Thanks,
      Darrell

There is no 100 list item limit, the 100 is the max items before the view recycler is used. This just changes how things are added to the internal "document"

Material supports up to 25000 items in a list.

[Edit] Also, IMVHO, this mixing of playlists, links, and tracks is awful. to me only playable items should be in the list, there should be a way for the UI to know what the list is a list of, and then move links, etc, to another place (such as a meu on the sub-toolbar). I can see why a hardware player would have these mixed, but for an app on a phone, PC, etc, there really is no point in mixing things in one list. However, AFAIK, there is no way to indicate what this list represents, or the individual types. But at least these could be separated into sub-lists. eg.
        Artist/composer name
        Album name
        Playlists
        Playlist 1
        Playlist 2
        Tracks
        Track 1

        • Tiny issue.
On a system with no local music, Material shows library duration as NaN:NaN
So I guess LMS sends nothing (not a number) rather than 0.

            • I can create folders in Favorites, but there does not seem to be a way to move existing favourites in the root folder into one of the sub folder, or an I missing something?

You can't if you're using Grid view, use List view to drag & drop favourites.

Interesting. I never realize there isn't a list view in the root of favorites, just in subfolders. Same for both a browser and apk. My favorites contain only folders, maybe that's why?

I'm not sure I understand that, there's a list view and a grid view in the root of favourites.

Maybe it's a material UI setting. Doesn't matter, I prefer lists for all but albums

Strange. I can select between grid view and list view in favorites root as well in favorites subfolders. See screenshots below.
This is on a Windows PC with MS Edge browser, and shortcut defined as follows:

I found it. I only use favorites for internet radio, no library items, and I have no paid services. I have no (zero) stations in my favorites root (only folders), and no grid option is shown. I added a random station to to the root, and viola - grid option, Deleted that station - no grid option again.

Like I said previously, I prefer list for all except albums, so no big deal, and no reason to understand why that is.

                          This was fun though!

FYI, I also have only folders in my favorites root, and still the grid option is shown. See screenshot below. So it is still not clear why in your case Material does not show the grid option. I guess one shouldn't want to understand everything .

                            • CJS - still curiosity remains . Can you try adding a station and then removing it? My favorites are always in list. I think when I added from an apps->live 365 menu, then went back into favorites, not only was the grid selection there, but the list was in grid mode as well, and I did not change that.

OK, I added a station to my favorites from the Radio Now Playing app. Then I deleted the station from my favorites using Material skin, and the grid selection option in Favorites root is still there .

If your curiosity remains, I can PM you my favorites.opml file, just let me know. You could then compare your favorites.opml with mine. Maybe you can find a difference that may explain why Material does show the grid option with my favorites.opml and not with yours.
