Tried on Android (material app) & browser on W10: the left one opens the volume settings for all players, the right one (together with the volume up) only changes the volume.

Press and hold the vol %.

It depends on which screen you're looking at. Pressing and holding the vol % works from "Manage players" or when in landscape mode. When in Android portrait mode, the lone speaker icon at the top can be used.

Mute active players during phone ringing

Hi

I like the LMS material and LMS material app combination and use it regularly but run into issues several times: I don't hear my phone ringing while the music is playing.

Would it be possible to mute / pause the (active) players not only "during phone calls" but also "on incoming calls / phone ringing"?
=> if I reject, music continues / is unmuted
=> if I answer the phone, music stays paused / muted until the call finishes


Apologies, if this has already been asked / answered, but searching for "incoming call" or "phone call" didn't list and meaning full results.

Multi Disc Albums

I have come across an issue with Multi Disc Albums. If I try to play a track using the option 'Play disc starting at track' then all is fine - the disc gets added to the playlist and then playback commences from the selected track. If, however, I play a track using the option 'Play album starting at track' then LMS throws a wobbly and loads 2,500 tracks to the playlist, none of which are related to the album in question. Are you / others able to replicate this?

I tried it with one of my few multi-disc albums, The Allman Brothers Band Live at the Fillmore East. It worked fine with both options, starting from a track on either disc.

Works fine for me - but "Play XXX starting at track" is not a feature I use. When LMS adds a massive number of tracks its usually because it did not understand the command. All I can suggest is that you post the JSON REQ messages (see my sig) the Material is sending.

Mobile version - words not icons

iPhone 13- LMS 8.3- Latest version of Material Skin

For some reason, I'm getting words at the top and bottom of my screen instead of control icons. Any ideas how this can be fixed? Thanks.

Most of Material's icons come from a font file shipped with Material. If you are seeing text then it looks like your browser is not loading this file. As to why that would be, no idea.

Voice commands

I know it is probably silly to ask but is there a way to use voice commands with Material/LMS?

I am using Material on an Android tablet in the kitchen, especially while cooking.
Sometimes it is really annoying to pause or skip a track or to change the volume when my hands are full with grease or flour. Just saying "Pause" or "Next" would be great in these situation. Is there any way to achieve this? I tried the Android Accessibilty voice commands but that doesn't really work well.

Okay. I love my Squeezebox Radio in the kitchen and the control via my Android tablet + Material skin BUT the voice control really would be nice.

How does it work? Can I play my local music via LMS and Amzon Echo using voice commands? I thought the Amzon Echo devices don´t play local music. And would I not need do download a specific "Alexa Skill"?

And, by searching for the Amazon Echo and LMS, I stumbled across this page https://mediaserver.smartskills.tech/ that sounds as if it does what I want. Anybody knows this?
