  • Move queue to another player missing?

    Hopefully this is a daft question and I'm just being really unobservant, but I can't find the "Move queue to another player" function.

    (I searched the thread before posting and couldn't find anything relevant, so apologies if I've missed something.)
    Duet x 3, via various hi-fi. LMS running on Raspberry Pi OS (Debian 10) + OMV on a Pi4 (4GB RAM) in an Argon Neo case.

    • When Im looking at the queue. there is an icon showing on my PC for transfer queue to another player. On my phone there isnt enough room for all the icons so that option is on the 3 dots menu on the top right of the screen.

        Sorry for the duff info.

        I just refreshed my laptop screen and the transfer queue icon is not there now. It's still on my Android phone- I run the Material APK.

          Thanks. That's what I get, too. At least I know I wasn't imagining it :-)

            Odd, I see the same, it was there, refreshed, gone!.

            If I change the URL to layout=mobile, it's there.

                      If LMS does not like duplicate URLs, perhaps try adding a hash followed by some text. e.g. if you have "http://server.com/stream.mp3" then try "http://server.com/stream.mp3#Test" The part after the hash should not be sent to the server, so should make no difference to the stream itself, but this might make LMS think this is a new URL.
                      Thanks Craig, no worries on the removal, just curious. I agree with scuttling things that don't make sense for the masses. Thank for the tip on the #.

So the favorite and URL in that "most played" folder are duplicates of the same station and URL in one of the other folders. This has never caused a problem.
                      That's weird. I also have my favorites in folders. As an example, say Favorites->Blues->Aardvark Blues, I would try to add the station again (to the root Favorites) LMS would say something like "Aardvark Blues already in favorites"

                      Of course, this is a reminder to try it "just one more time" before posting I'll give it a go again. I am wondering, again with Aardvark example - If it exists, how to duplicate it? I assume play it then add it again.

                        Finally got time to looking at this, and this will be fixed using MaterialSkin 2.9.9 and APK version 0.2.1 - both still to be released. Currently Material tries to embed the PDF in the current page, which works for desktop but not mobile. Material will no longer do this for android, and instead will open as a URL. The APK will catch this, and if filename endswith ".pdf" it will set the correct file type and then ask Android to handle this. Android should then use whatever PDF handler you have installed to show the file.

                          Can't say for other controllers, or the default skin, but Material will check if the URL already exists - so it could just be Material blocking this. The reason for this is that Material uses the URL presence in favourites to know whether to show "Add to favourites" or "Remove from favourites"

                            I can't add a duplicate favourite either using Material Skin. I haven't tried with default skin.

                              Just tried default skin and sure enough you can have duplicate favourites even in the same folder.

                              • Hi,

                                I have what seems to be a small bug to report.
                                When adding the parameter $HOST to a weblink in the action.json file, the target link is added to the current location. For example:

                                {
                                "album":[
                                {
                                "title":"Album details",
                                "weblink":"$HOST:5000/LMSalbum#$ALBUMID#$ID"
                                }
                                ],
                                "track":[
                                {
                                "title":"Album details",
                                "weblink":"$HOST:5000/LMSalbum#$ALBUMID#$ID"
                                }
                                ],
                                "system":[
                                {
                                "title":"Player",
                                "weblink":"$HOST:5000/LMSplaylist#$NAME#$ID"
                                }
                                ]
                                }

                                The first two actions work, but the last one results in this adress (concatanation of the material adress + target): "http://192.168.1.177:9001/material/192.168.1.177:5000/LMSplaylist"
