  • I understand - it just would be helpful with multi disc sets to access material more easily.

    • Single disc albums have the choice to play both album and disc. Is that intended?

No, not intentional. I'm guessing these tracks have a 'disc' tag even though its a single disc album. I only use this tag when I have multiple discs. I'll fix for 2.8.2
Material debug: 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json (Use http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json,cometd to also see update messages, e.g. play queue) 2. Discnumber must have been added automatically when the CDs were ripped. I wouldn"t normally add it myself. That is the issue, I found some albums without the disc tag and they display correctly.

          • I'm not sure if this has been addressed here, Apologies if so. When using Material Skin as I hover over the three dot colon to display the full title name, each album name has "(menu)" at the end. The standard skin does not do that

Never noticed that before, but I can confirm I see this too" "(menu)" at the end of the album title.

That is because this is the tooltip for the menu button. This was added, years ago, to help with accessibility (on think iOS, I think) - where the user can have the device read aloud the names of all controls.

                  • advanced search capabilities

...after scratching my head, whats wrong with my TAGs (nothing) i've learned, that the advanced search capability is looking for the TAG "Description" instead of "Comment".
Is this a bug or a feature? As the TAG Description isn't widely used, but the Comment TAG is.....

Definitely not a Material issue. Please start a new thread with more information about those files (format, dump of the metadata etc.).

                      • 2.8.2 Release

                        Bug-fix release, changes:
                        1. Only show multi-disc icon, and prompt for disc to use, etc., if LMS is set to group multi-disc albums.
                        2. Add add and play actions to subtoolbar for 'All songs' listings.
                        3. Don't show disc headers in 'All songs' listings.
                        4. Hide settings password.
                        5. Update gallery image when track changes if this is showing now playing cover.
                        6. Only show 'Play disc starting at track' if there are multiple discs.
Material debug: 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json (Use http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json,cometd to also see update messages, e.g. play queue) 2. • I have just returned to use a Squeezebox setup after years of neglect. I got my Boom and a Google Chromecast Audio (with Castbridge) working very quickly and switched to Material Skin. After the initial shock of the lack of familiarity and the lost finger memory I really like it and settled to this look.

This is an entirely cosmetic suggestion, but I wonder if a colour scheme that echoes the long used and loved by many web controller might be possible. The simplest suggestion I make is that a colour bar like this may be chosen by the user, which is a partial screen grab from old design.

Just a simple echo from the past.

Material does not use gradients for its toolbars - but you can define custom colours, etc. See https://github.com/CDrummond/lms-mat...-Customisation

                            • Mouse Cursor when selecting player

                              Craig,

                              Love your work!

Minor nit, when selecting a player in the player menu, I think you want the mouse cursor to be the "hand" instead of the text or normal cursor.

I also noticed next build will show the track source in tech info, e.g. Spotify, etc. I like this! FYI, for Pandora, I'm seeing "Internet/Other" rather than "Pandora". I know not published yet, but thought I'd let you know.

                              Thanks!

How do I detect Pandora streams? Spotify URLs start with "spotify:", Bandcamp ULRs contain ".bandcamp.com", etc. As I don't use Pandora I'm not sure how these are identified. If you let me know then I'll add to the mapping. (Which is in misc/track-sources.json if you are interested)
