  • A good improvment IMO may be that multi CDs album are a bit separated for a better view

    Today :
    Code:
    Artist > Album (4CD) > Tracks

    01
    02
    ...
    16
    01
    02
    03
    ...
    12
    01
    ... And so on
All CDs ares listed in one unified list

    My request :
    Code:
    Artist > Album (4CD) > Tracks

    CD1
    01
    02
    03
    ...
    16

    CD2
    01
    02
    03
    ...
    12

    CD3

    And son on
A small blank line and a CDx info to make a easier browsing

And maybe to be "perfectionnist" clicking on CDx open the menu "play Now" just for this CD

What do you think about this ?

There is a setting in LMS to deal with multi CDs. If you add the disc number to each individual CD they will also be listed separately.

You right but this show CDs as separate album, my idea was to have one Album show but 4 different sub CDs
But well i understand it could be redundant

If you use the browse music folder you can play the individual CDs separately if they are in folders.

I guess this should be possible, but a bit of work. I've created an issue on the github page for this (#232)
Material debug: 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json (Use http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json,cometd to also see update messages, e.g. play queue) 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open console tab in developer tools 4. REQ/RESP messages sent to/from LMS will be logged here.

This should be possible - I could use the same headers as used for search results. I've added an issue on the github page for this - #233

What would be the consequence for operas (up to four discs)?

Edit: Never mind, shouldn't affect anything.

                  • Thanks for this great addition to LMS, I finally have complete control over my setup from inside HSTouch which runs on all my wall mounted tablets connected to Homeseer. I can overlay the Material skin on top of HSTouch and still use HSTouch along with the Material skin, works perfect!
                    Here is a quick example..

                      • Desktop display - possible to drag albums?

Release 1.4.4: Material gets progressively better with every release; congratulations.

I like all the different ways an album can be added to the now playing queue, but looking at the desktop display today I had an idea that I thought I would mention: when an album list is loaded in the browse panel, whether it be my own local albums/playlists, or Spotify, or Qobuz New Releases, etc., would it be possible to drag an album over from the browse panel and drop it into the queue panel? This would have the effect of appending to queue.

Drag’n’drop is a pain in the proverbial (still not working on iPhone), so I’m not too keen on adding more. Plus, drag’n’drop would need to insert the item where it was dropped – just appending would be (IMHO) unexpected behaviour. And I’m not sure how to build the ’insert at index X’ command for a Spotty item, etc.

What I could do is show the add/play icon on a grid item when hovering with the mouse. This would be a faster way to append/play-now for an album, etc.

This sounds interesting; this is something you could add to the v1.5 testing branch? I certainly would be interested in trying the hover method.

Initial implementation in 1.5 branch now.
