Thanks a lot for your quick answer - however I prefer Switch Player as it is 1-2 clicks faster. Among the extra menu I also user the Server Powercontroll and Superdatetime.

However I understand that I am a rather "power"user, which might not reflect the typical user and accessible user interface...
So no worries about my requests :-)

Again thanks for providing this excellent skin :-)

Extras doesn't appear in Orange Squeeze either. I only noticed because I checked after seeing your post.

        Hi Slartibartfast,
thanks for checking - I use Squeezecontrol for Windows and Android and both versions offer the extra menu...
Not a big deal as most of the features are in the apps menu though...
        Cheers,

        • +1 on this request. I'd like to get to the Trackstat menu to allow me to see All unrated on unplayed songs. In the native skin this is under the Extras menu

Anyhow, I do have TrackStat installed on my test system. I have tried; a) rating a track with Material, and rating is shown in default web UI; b) rating in default webUI, and rating is shown in Material. You need to refresh the track listing (ie. by navigating back out and back into the track list) to see changes - as, AFAIK, there is no notification that a rating has been set/changed. Also, Material shows 1/2 stars, default web UI always full stars - so 5 stars in default webUI is 2.5 stars in Material.
There is only an issue with the ratings that I did before I installed Material, ie see below. No ratings show in the track listing but if I go into the details of the track the rating is set.

Material uses TrackStat to set a rating as, AFAIK, there is no other API for this - which is why ratings are only shown if TrackStat is installed. However, ratings are read via LMS's JSONRPC. Previous Material releases also read ratings from TrackStat - but this was removed when rating display was added to the queue. To get a TrackStat rating, I have to ask for each track's rating 1 at a time. Making, potentially, hundreds of individual TrackStat calls seemed silly, when I could just ask LMS to provide the rating value when it gives me the queue contents.

I see from your signature, that you are using LSM 7.8? If so, then perhaps that is the reason for the difference? Can you try 7.9.2

              • Trackstat...

You may already be aware of this but if not...

To get Trackstat ratings (and other stats) to display you may have to go into LMS 'Settings/Advanced/Trackstat/Settings Section' then select 'Backup/Restore/Clear'.

Try 'Restore from File' and/or 'Refresh Statistics After Rescan' - take care to read the contents of the info button to ensure the correct file (probably the most recent backup) is selected with 'Restore from File'.

The database can take quite some time to update so results will not be immediate. After a decent time delay - sometimes hours, a reboot or rescan can help.

Works for me but your mileage may vary.

                • Sorry my sig is way out of date. I’m now on PICorePlayer and using the latest nightly so I don’t think it's that.

Bobertuk might have a good idea though, I’ll try refreshing the statistics after rescan and see if that helps.

Refresh after Rescan fixed the issue, thanks for the suggestion

Can't find "server power control" in the LMS plugins list - but a quick search of the forum seems to suggest this is for controling the server LMS runs on? Is that correct? If so, that really does not belong here. Also can't find superdatetime, but this appears to be for configuring the screensaver on a hardware player - so again, not something I think should be in Material (it's more a setting page, which the default webUI handles bettter).

As stated, Material already handles "Dont Stop the Music", that only leaves "SwitchPlayer". For the next release, I've added a button to the queue toolbar (or main menu for mobile if screen is not wide enough) which will bring up a dialog allowing you to choose the player to move the queue to - so only 2 (or 3 if its in the menu) clicks required.

                        • Not sure if this is a Material or an SLX thing, but I'd like to use the forward/backward button on my mouse for navigation within Material. The back button is already there (as a button in Material). Of course, there is no forward button (wouldn't need one in Material), but something like "undo back" would make sense.

This would make navigation a lot faster.
