If you are not connected to LMS server, then you get Grey with a caution icon.

Thanks for clarifying. For me, the current behavior is perfect. You might want to have a different color for "Squeezelite Player is not enabled", 'cause I can understand people confusing the LMS icon with SLX one. Using Squeezelite I had not noticed this.

Hey, Greg. It's me again. I was wondering if you could take the Denon AVP/AVR Control plugin for a test drive under SLX when you have some time. The latest release (v4.7.1) includes support for streaming to and controlling multiple AVR zones from one LMS player, as well as an option to specify an AVR input source instead of a Quick Select command to be used when the AVR is powered on. Full support for Marantz AVR's has also been added in the Audio settings menu. As a reminder, the Audio settings menu option, as well as multi-zone and Marantz support, are all activated via the plugin's LMS Player-->Settings menu. When the Audio settings menu option is selected, a new "Denon/Marantz AVR Settings" menu will appear under Material Skin's Player settings menu. I look forward to hearing any feedback you can provide. Thanks!

I've recently started using Squeezelite-X and LMS as a really effective solution to multi-room synchronised and gapless audio USB DACs, which just never worked properly with JRiver. It's a great setup and I'm really pleased with the result. I only wish I had given up trying to get JRiver to do this years ago.

I had the same issue as you (needed to delay startup of Squeezelite-X to give LMS chance to start) and worked out the command to start the Windows Store app via Task Scheduler:

explorer.exe shell:appsFolder\16237RGregDawson.Squeezelite-X_qhedj8x0bjmhg!SqueezeliteX

I know the above is an old post. But I couldn't get Squeezelite-X to auto start and this is the info I really needed. In task manager enter explorer.exe as application and shell:appsFolder\16237RGregDawson.Squeezelite-X_qhedj8x0bjmhg!SqueezeliteX. Schedule to start when specific user logs in.

Just had a moment to test behaviour with 2.11.19.0 (Microsoft Store).
I still get the error with 'Run in background' toggled off after a restart but no problem with it toggled on, so toggled on it will stay.

Thanks for letting me know. Is this only on restart of the computer or the app. Any more detailed info much appreciated. Anyone else still seeing this? I still cannot reproduce.

I just installed the 9/11 updates KB5019980, KB5020930, KB5020743, KB5020622 and also PowerToys 0.64.1 and I can't reproduce the error anymore, even with 'Auto start on log in', Run in background', 'Start minimized' all toggled off.
Is anyone else still getting the error?

New version 2.11.20 submitted/uploaded,

Changes:

• Another attempt to avoid "Cannot Register Tab" exception that onimod is seeing on startup. This is an exception that gets thrown when the interface I use to handle taskbar icon thumbview, progress, and custom buttons fails to register. I'm not able to reproduce it and the message is harmless. I'm just going to suppress the message for now.

onimod, if you still see the message, please let me know.

Show artwork?

Hi Greg -

Just wondering if there's an option to show (large) artwork beyond the currently playing track? I might have missed this, but checked the 'hamburger' menu (three vertical dots), and didn't see it, even under 'More'. If it's not there, and if it's compatible with Material Skin, might this be added in a future release? It would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance! I love Squeezelite-X and use it as my primary player on Windows.

Not 100% sure what you mean, but this is probably a skin thing. In Material Skin you can show the "Now playing screen" by pressing the button as shown below. Hope that helps.

I couldn’t find in the thread. Does this run on Windows RT? A friend offered me one and could be a nice player to connect a bunch of bluetooth speakers too

In material skin you can click the three dots next to a track to access the context menu, then "more" then "local artwork".

Apparently not. I just updated SLX earlier today (i.e. I'm on current version), and there's no 'Local Artwork' option there.
