Thanks - that seems like a good work around. Will give it a try.

        "Roman" Analog Clock Style

As a sample of clock styles available, I created a "Roman Numeral Analog Clock" for the Jivelite 800x480 screen.
This is a simple analog clock with the date displayed.

"Import" file attached if you want to try it.

Wow Thomas, that is a very nice clock. Are there more of your designs available?

installed custom clock and license manager

            hi
i added the this repo to lms, installed license manager and custom clock applets. rebooted raspberrypi.
the menuentries where created but nothing happens on selecting them.
do someone may have a hint for me to get this working?
i already tried: install applets from repo, manual install applets using the files provided here, changing player identification to the sb touch with commandline option "-m fab4" but nothing helped so far.
i am on the max2play (wheezy) image, squeezelight 1.8, recent jivelite with joggler skin, raspberry 2 with official 7" display.
            thanks

Right now you also need to be running the CustomClockHelper plugin on LMS. From there you should be able to import one of the screens I posted.

                thanks for your help tcutting.
i have already installed CustomClockHelper plugin v2.10.90 on LMS 7.9 and imported your json style script.
SuperDateTime plugin v5.9.16 installed and configured.
License Manager plugin v1.1.40 also installed, and checked for all extensions licensed.

but after install LicenseManager and CustomClock plugin i am not even able to select LicenseManager menu entry in settings, nothing happens on selecting it.
same is with CustomClock settings menu entry.
i am only able to choose CustomClock #1 to #9 in screensaver settings but it never shows up/get triggered

what am i missing? i think strange thing is that license manager applet can also not be started.

Did you install the LicenseManager applet in JiveLite in addition to the plugin in LMS?

I just realized you are NOT running the PiCorePlayer version. Your Jivelite may not be the same.
I think the original Triode version of Jivelite uses a different variant of lua.
                    Maybe ralphy can confirm.

                      Hi tcutting,

I believe Triode's version uses luajit, where Ralphys uses lua.

                      regards
                      Greg

so that means luajit has reduced or at least different command set compared to lua?
if yes, there would be no way around changing jivelite version, right?
and which one is the one that works?

To clarify, only my picoreplayer and solaris jivelite packages use the original squeezeplay lua, all other builds use luajit.
I had to add the lua bitop module to the original squeezeplay lua 5.1.1 for jivelite to work with it.

The picoreplayer jivelite github repo has general instructions on building jivelite with the modified squeezeplay lua.

Squeezebox client builds donations always appreciated.

First is "CustomClock", and you need to place the extracted files from the "CustomClock_JL_800x480_001.zip" file. Second is "LicenseManager", and place the extracted files from the "LicenseManager_Applet_001.zip" file.
How to do this, is There a filemanager in picoreplayer and can it be done putty

If you really want to do it manually, you can use something like WinSCP to move files into the directories - you probably need to use putty as well (to modify permissions).
It's FAR easier to use the Applet Installer.
From LMS, you would add the repository path to the Plugins page under settings. (Look at the original post on this thread).
On Jivelite, you can find the Applet Installer, typically under Settings/Advanced Settings.
You will need to install the LicenseManager and CustomClock applets on Jivelite (and save settings).
You also need the LicenseManager and CustomClockHelper plugins running on LMS.
The CustomClock and CustomClockHelper require license from Erland.
Once everything is installed, you can use the CustomClockHelper on LMS to import the clock styles I posted on this thread.
