Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)

I'm finding 2.2.3 and 2.2.4 to be worse than previous versions. I have 5 or sometimes 6 chromecast devices, and in previous versions of the plugin I might have to restart the bridge every couple of weeks due to chromecast that had gone missing and wouldn't come back. With both 2.2.3 and 2.2.4 within 48 hours all my chromecasts are gone. I'm running LMS in a docker container on a Synology NAS. I've been running like this for at least 2 years and nothing in my network or docker setup has changed.

Can you also tell me which exact version of Synology? I'm searching for a problem around endianness, so the CPU type is the most import information

2.2.5 doesn't install. Server log contains

Ok, I would need some logs then because on my side (linux-aarch64) they use to disappear and they stay now.

I've restarted the bridge with full logging enabled. I'll send you the log when all my chromecasts have disappeared again.

2.2.5 won't install here either. Running everything on Windows 10.
Also, I have the same issues with suddenly disappearing all of my Chromecast devices (3x). In fact, they are currently not showing up at all, even after reboots.

The players ARE listed as being present in the configuration file on the plugin settings page (and yes, they are check-marked to be activated), but they just do not show up as players in LMS...

I have also double-checked in the firewall settings and the squeeze2cast programs are allowed.

I have done a reboot and everything is back to normal now again. So you were probably right about the binary help not running. I will keep checking the coming days and report back should the chromecasts disappear againg. Thanks for all of your great work and support!

Yes, because is the only solution is to reboot Windows, then the problem is with Windows itself, not with LMS or the plugin.

Okay. It happened again. After 5 days, just like clockwork. This time I tried restarting the plugin and LMS again, just to make sure nothing changed. Nothing changed. Here is the log with logging options set to 'ALL' when I start the plugin. Looks like mDNSsearchCallback() keeps retrying something unsuccessfully every 2 minutes.
EDIT: The message repeated every two minutes for over an hour until I stopped the plugin
I will wait to hear from you before rebooting Windows, which always gets it working again. I wonder what happens in Windows every 5 days?
