I just changed the playlist folder directory and rescanned everything...
m4a is now playing on a old SqueezeboxRadio and 2x UE SmartRadios(SqueezeboxFirmware).
But on my 2x Picoreplayer it won't work...
Regarding your tip: if I disable the MPEG4 -> AAC option, I can't play m4a at SbRadio
Now I disabled at MPEG4 -> Flac and also PCM.
    For MPEG4 is now just AAC(nativ) & MP3 (faad/lame) enabled.
It works for SbRadio and also for Picoreplayer.

Thanks again for your repo and your support.

    Best regards
    Julian

Hello, great if we don't have to manage that!
On which "schedule" do you planned to update the online package (only for major LMS 7.9 update / every weeks / ...) ?

      • #18
Updates will depent on Michael Herger's updates to the code on github. If changes are made which are usefull to us as Synology users I will update the repo. So, no schedule as in weekly or monthly.

          LMS Repack URL broken?

          Pinkdot

I don't manage to get the repo. When adding name (LMS Repack) and url (http://lms-repack.pinkdot.nl/) in settings/package sources, I'll get an error message saying "invalid location".

Trust level, set to any publisher. Added http://packages.synocommunity.com without any problems. The procedure should be the same for the LMS Repack right?

          Running DS411+II on DSM 5.2-5565

          /Than

Should work like that, yes. The name however is not important. You can set any name you like. The url: lms-repack.pinkdot.nl will do.
Did you try to access the url in your browser? If you can access the repo in your browser, you can download and install the spk mnually.

            greetings,

            Martin

Yes, it is possible to access the url from webbrowser. Downloaded the spk file from browser and installed the file manually. LMS 7.9.0 is up and running now and it seems to work.

              Thanks!

Just created a repository for Logitech Media Server on Synology nas. I repacked the latest official version of LMS provided by Synology. So updated the package from 7.7.3 to 7.9.0. Most architectures are supported. Just add the repo to your Package Center in DSM 5.0 or higher.
Make sure before installing the new package to remove any version of LMS (outside the repository) on your nas,

                Name: LMS Repack
                Location: http://lms-repack.pinkdot.nl/

Port 9000 instead of 9002 is used!

This repo is to test if the procedure of repacking the spk will work. It is already tested on several machines but more info is needed and very welcome.

                Thanks for testing!

                        pinkdot, i can say that:
                        -installation has been painless
-a complete new scan of my library (more than 70000 tracks, low & hi res) required less than 2 hours, with custom scan activated (but, i have not tested on these custom labels...), this is a record form me.
-music is playing, eveythink ok, on my touch & boom
-touch and duet controller updated their firmware to 7.8 (is that right?)
-i have to test the new 7.9 features yet

so, thanks again, hope this test will live forever.

Following on from the SSODS thread. Has anything in your repack changed from the last one you PM'd me?

                              Yes and no.
                              No, nothing has changed yet.
But. You have also the issue of the high-res flac decompressing to pcm, which you proberbly didn't notice ;-) So I think you just stream your flac files like most of us, as flac files :-) (not decompressing them first to pcm).
However this will be fixed in the next update for x86, Cedarview, Bromolow and Avoton architecture.

                              Greetings,

                              Martin

Yep. I like to keep my storage and network traffic to an absolute minimum. FLAC8 for everything 😀
So, not an issue for me but for those that need it I can see that it would be a problem!
