What would be the cheapest raspberry pi model to be used as a player connected to a receiver?

How is it to be connected to your receiver? Does receiver have HDMI or USB input? -
What I want to add is that when connecting the RPi player to an analog line input of the receiver, it is recommended to either use an external USB DAC, or mount a DAC HAT board on the RPi.
