Wiim Mini & Pro - Inputs

Has anyone tried the inputs in the Mini & Pro? I tired the Spdif input with my TV on my Pro, and when I selected the input for it on the app I got sound but it was distorted about half the time. When I tried the analog in via the RCAs from a tape out on my preamp and selected that inout from the app I got what sounded like low frequency feedback like it was looping or something. I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong or need to tweak the settings, but would be curious of others experiences. This feature is not something I'd use often, but I'd like to try the output of my stereo to feed the turnable to the Wiim.

Also, when using one of these inputs, what would I need to do to hear this at my other stereo where I have the Mini located?

    From manual:
    CONNECTING VIA AUX IN
To set up the WiiM Mini with the Aux input:
    1. Plug the 3.5mm cable into the Aux in port on the back of the WiiM Mini.
    2. Plug the other end of the cable into the record player.
    3. In the WiiM Home app, Go to Browse > Select source on device > Aux in, select the Aux in for audio distribution.
    4. Create a multiroom music group with your WiiM Mini. On WiiM Home app, Go to Devices, select the WiiM Mini connected with your Aux-in device. Tap the group button (with + sign in a box) in the top right corner of the device box. Select the WiiM Mini you wish to connect with. Once completed, the music playing from the device plugged into the WiiM Mini will play to your multiroom music group.

Thanks for this, Makes sense now Not sure what is going on with the inputs, but out on the Wiim site it sounds like some people have opened up related tickets for this and it's being addressed.
