I got a Mini a few days ago and have mixed emotions. First a short backstory. I've used LMS for over 20 years (started with a SliMP3) and have several RPi and Quadra players these days. I have a medium sized local collection and a Qobuz subscription. However, my wife finds the setup too complicated. So I decided to try a WiiM Mini, hoping that she'd find it easier. So, I don't have the Mini setup as a LMS player, but rather as a standalone player to access Qobuz.

What I find odd is the WiiM app on my phone. Once an album is playing, there seems to be no way to add more tracks or albums to the in-play queue. And, when you are done listening, there seems to be no way to clear the queue. These seem like really basic items that should be there. It seems like all you can do is pause the playback and close the app. When you reopen the app, it still there, so would need to just replace those tracks by picking a new album.

I've posted an inquiry on the WiiM forum and also opened a support ticket, but it is the weekend so no meaningful response yet. Anyone here have any ideas, or is everyone just using the WiiM as an end-point?

No, I don’t believe it has those functions yet. Would BubbleUPNP be an alternative?

Just tried this using local music on my phone.

Playing an album > on the "Now Playing" screen, tap the down arrow top left, browse to another album you wish to add, tap the ">" button alongside the album, tap the 3 dots top right, "Add to Queue".

I don't see any way of deleting the existing queue except by selecting play on another track. album etc.

The WiiM Home App really isn’t very good at all.

If it can be a working SB endpoint and controlled by Material then it’s an ok piece of hardware

Strange, I'm not getting an "Add to Queue" option. When I press the 3 dots all I get is "Delete from Favorites", "Add to Playlists", "See Artist", "Description" or "Cancel". The "Add to Playlists" option has nothing to do with the curren queue.

              Agree, it's piss poor.

I did type "3 dots top right".

I don't get that "Add to Queue" option when browsing albums on Qobuz. Now, if I select an individual track, I do get a "play next" option, but that inserts it to play when the song currently being played ends. So, if you want to finish all the tracks on the current album before the new addition plays, you have to wait until the last song is playing before youi can add a new track. Or, if you have several individual tracks you want to add in a particular order, you have to add the =last= one first, then the others in reverse order.

I did hear back from WiiM on my service inquiry. They said an updated version of their software will be coming out "in the next month." We'll see, though I get the impression the company may be a shade overly optimistic about their software release dates.

UPnP/DLNA Bridge 2.1.13.5 seems to have resolved the gapless issue for my WiiM Mini

Got my Wiim Pro t'other day.

Pleased in general, but having probs with UPnP (I'm on v.2.1.14). Using LMS 8.3.1 on my Mac mini. Concentrating for now on using Qobuz (via plugin v.2.8.2).

If I make a playlist within the Qobuz plugin and then start to play it, I get occasional tracks missed (it jumps to the next one instead), or stopping after a few seconds, or getting near the very end of the track and then stopping. Not always, but regularly enough to be annoying (and clearly not what's intended). Also, the time count(s) are sometimes erratic. (Interestingly, DSOTM on Qobuz plays gaplessly and so far without trouble.)

These are my settings, which are I think are pretty much default:

                    And the Wiim specifically:

Any idea what I might do to make UPnP behave?

I just saw the new v2.1.15 of the bridge and have updated to it. Not sure if that's doing anything that might affect my prob, as I couldn't find any release notes or changelog, but will test later and report back. In the meantime, anyone else here having similar probs?

2.1.15 seems to be Ok for gapless - see my post in the announce thread https://forums.slimdevices.com/forum...f-you-use-them

d6j6, good to know, but I was more concerned about occasional tracks missed (it jumps to the next one instead), or stopping after a few seconds, or getting near the very end of the track and then stopping—see my post 54.

I have been listening using the WiiM since 8:30am GMT so 4 hours. Most of it Don't Stop The Music incorporating both Qobuz and Local tracks
I have experienced only a couple of mid track skips i.e. where some way through a track it skips to next, but both instances were when I was playing a particular album on Qobuz. I think that is a Qobuz issue not the WiiM itself or LMS or the plugin.

                            Edit
Mine is a WiiM Mini. There are almost certainly differences in the firmware on a Pro.

                            Edit 2
On the "occasional tracks missed" check your Qobuz plugin settings. Do you have "play sample" switched on?

Yes they look exactly like mine except you have 192,000 where I have 96,000 - my Receiver has an optical in that only supports up to 24/96
