    piCorePlayer +Allo Boss2 OLED

    Hi PiCore Team,

I'm not having much luck setting up my Allo Boss2 OLED with pCP.

Under Squeelite settings > ALSA Mixer > Parameters and notes for your DAC it suggests I "Load Extension allo-boss2.tcz for OLED screen". When I check all of the extension repositories I'm not seeing this. Is this instruction no longer relevant?

I did just find some instructions on your GitHub, should these be the ones I follow? https://github.com/piCorePlayer/allo_boss2_oled_p3

    Thanks in advance,
    Alex

Not sure if that exists anymore, but looking at the readme file

there's instructions here and there doesn't seem to be anything special needed

    Code:
    piCorePlayer v7.0.0 onwards :
    -----------------------------
    Resize FS on webGUI
ssh login with user tc Password piCore
     tce-load -wi python3.8-Pillow.tcz
     tce-load -wi python3.8-smbus.tcz
     tce-load -wi python3.8-rpi-gpio.tcz
     tce-load -wi iproute2.tcz

    	sudo su
    	cd /opt/
    	wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/allocom/allo_boss2_oled_p3/main/boss2_oled_p3.tar.gz
            tar -xzvf boss2_oled_p3.tar.gz
on web GUI Tweaks page user commands type below line and save
    	sh /opt/boss2_oled_p3/oled_run.sh

      My extension is much better

      Install the extension allo-boss2.tcz

Then in the user commands section, run this script.

      /usr/local/bin/boss2_oled_run.sh

Thanks but where do I add the extension? It’s not in the list!

Also some of the settings for the DAC don’t seem to be able to be adjusted, is this expected behaviour?

Oh, I guess I never copied the package for aarch64. At the time I did it, there was a aarch64 issue with either the board or the display. I forget.

                Anything I need to do?

Also I'm unable to adjust 'PCM Filter Speed' or the High Voltage Enable via the picker interface. I managed to adjust the filter speed via the front display using the GitHub instructions though.

alsa controls can really be annoying. Sometimes it is just easier to use alsamixer from an ssh session, then make sure you save/backup the changes.
