I ordered one of these as soon as I saw Rosco's earlier post in the ESP32 hardware thread. It arrived a few days ago.

First impressions are really good - it has a solid professional feel, and the sound is nice.

This evening I was pleased to see a pre-compiled bin file for SqueezeESP32. I've loaded that, and indeed it now behaves just like a SqueezeAMP from a software perspective. And with that comes the ability to tune the sound via the graphic equaliser, and now it's sounding perfect to my ears :-)

It's a nice addition to the Squeezebox family.

      Looks very interesting.

I'd be tempted if there were some simple instructions on how to implement - I read through the online faqs, etc. but found them very confusing....

THe tutorial is here, there is a bin file to load no compilation to do. I could also preload Squeezelite on the speaker from now.

So where is the 'This evening I was pleased to see a pre-compiled bin file for SqueezeESP32' which Chill refers to?

I ordered one just like chill.

Put the squeeze firmware on it earlier this evening, and wow a really nice battery driven speaker!

              Thanks!

How is the sound quality of the speakers? Comparable to the boom?
Is there a special code for forum members (just asking....)?

The Muse Luxe sounds very nice - open and clear, with a decent bass, and it stays clear even at quite a loud volume. Comparing it to the Boom - one of the best sounding portable devices I've ever heard - is rather unfair. The Boom is physically bigger, and has bigger bass drivers and separate tweeters, whereas the Muse Luxe has a pair of smaller full-range drivers (as far as I can tell from peeking through the grille). But the Muse has the ESP32 graphic equaliser, and I was able to tweak the sound profile to suit my personal preference (which has remained the same since I first fitted a graphic equaliser to my cheap car stereo back in the early 80s ), and I must say I'm extremely happy with the result - it's better than most portable devices.

I should also add that at 40 Euro (delivered) it's an absolute bargain.

Thnx! Will purchase a ESPMUSE [emoji3]

Something different. Seems the activation mail for the raspaudio forum is not sender, tried twice.

Did you ever get your confirmation email to register with their forum? I've only communicated with them via their forum, but I've found them to be very responsive.

Never got the activation mail, tried multiple times. My chosen username was free and after the first try not anymore. So some sort of registration was successful.
Also tried making contact via webpage but no succes.
Not a clue where this is going wrong, email adres is absolutely valid.
