For example - are they from your local music collection as a file or embedded?
Do they come from a music service .. if so ... which one and which track.

I don't think that is a problem of a certain image.
The music is from spotify.
With the same track, and the same picture, the problem may appear or not. So Ithink it's not the picture.

For some strange reason, the JPEG decompression terminates prematurely without throwing an error. I've created a special version where I do not use ROM-based decoder. Hi, I flashed your binary, but it's not working. I suppose that is made for Squeezeamp, and my platform is I2S-4MFlash.
Anyway your last release seems to reduce the issue drastically... maybe one every 20 or 30 times, I lost count... so good work!

The first version works great, no fault in 40 or 50 image. The log gives no error as well.

The first version works great, no fault in 40 or 50 image. The log gives no error as well.
The second version only displays "SqueezeESP32" and gives this error in the terminal:
