The Trouble with Tribbles (aka Thin Clients)

Again, not really a thin client per se, but I picked up another model by Seneca. This thing is a tank, weighing a little over 2 pounds. Celeron N3060, 8GB Ram, 120GB MSATA SSD. It's used but in good condition, mfg. date of 2019. I paid $30 for it shipped which I thought was pretty good. I got it for the dual NICs with the thought of replacing my current router with it.
I thought I'd pull the MSATA drive out to test the Seneca HDS with but decided not to since both the top and bottom panels are acting as heat sinks, one for the MSATA drive and one for the CPU. I figured I'd just leave it intact. I loaded it with Alpine earlier tonight, seems to be working ok.
The pics are from the ebay listing,

Picked up a Kramer Via Connect Pro off ebay. Seems nice but I haven't been able to get into the bios yet. Looks to be running Fedora under the custom GUI interface.

This Kramer Via Connect Pro looks to be a rebadged Gigabyte Brix:
Features 14nm IntelĀ® N3010 to deliver to the most intuitive and integrated operating systems in the world Supports 2.5" thickness 7.0/9.5mm Hard Drives (1 x...
Problem is the BIOS seems to have been crippled. I couldn't access it without first disconnecting the battery. After that I got into setup but there were no boot options except for the onboard flash and efi shell. I figured, well, I'll just reflash the BIOS with my USB programmer using the Gigabyte BIOS file...
It's been a long week, it's late, I'm tired, I put 3.3v into a 1.8v bios chip. I mean I guess that's probably why it won't even POST now. After I switched to 1.8v, Flashrom has never complained about reading and writing the chip, which seems a little odd if the thing is fried? Still no POST.
Code:Using clock_gettime for delay loops (clk_id: 1, resolution: 1ns). Found Macronix flash chip "MX25U6435E/F" (8192 kB, SPI) on ch341a_spi. Reading old flash chip contents... done. Erasing and writing flash chip... Erase/write done. Verifying flash... VERIFIED.

Couple more additions to the pool of idle compute. Aopen makes some nice stuff. The Digital Engine (DE3250-S) is all metal and kinda cool with the orange. These were both brand new and $50 from ebay. In the case of the Giada, the seller accepted a $50 offer. Pictured with a Pi4 for size comparison.
