    I just made the last connection attempt before bed.

    And was a success.

    I used TextWrangler app and had an error in the wpa_supplicant.conf file name.

    I used these settings:
    Code:
     network={
    ssid="kixmoon”
    psk="mypswd”
    key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
    auth_alg=OPEN
    }
    .
    And additionally I change country to PL.

    In router keep „WPA2 Personal Key” config

    To sum up - I don't know exactly where the error was, but it works now.

    Thx for All

      hi dayus,

      Congratulations!

      Setting up wifi is really easy but a little typo can make the process seem *so confusing* and leads you down so many irrelevant paths.

      For cases where there are no special characters, and the method I use, is to create wpa_supplicant.conf on the boot partition with just 2 lines and boot:

      Code:
      ssid="kixmoon"
      psk="mypswd"
      piCorePlayer does the rest, (hopefully) creating a valid wpa_supplicant.conf

      This has worked for me hundreds of times, but I can never be 100% sure that it will work for all hardware out there.

      I think you had issues with a few typos and/or the quote signs. Even the quotes in the above post are weird!

      regards
      Greg

      EDIT: Can people let me know if this simple 2 line method doesn't work for their network. My network has been the same for 10 years so it maybe a case of me having blinkers on.

        HiFiBerry DAC+ DSP

        Has anyone used a "HiFiBerry DAC+ DSP" with piCorePlayer? That exact unit is not listed in PCP 6's Squeezelite settings, see the pic attached.
        Any suggestions as to which of the available settings will be the best to try?
        Attached Files
        Digital: Raspberry Pi 3B; piCorePlayer 8 + LMS 8; HifiBerry DAC+DSP > Yamaha RX-V2700 > Jamo speakers
        Analogue: HifiBerry DAC+DSP > Speakercraft MZC-66 > whole house
        Library: External USB drive
        Android: Squeezer app

          This guide looks great (thank you!), but is now several years old. I'm wanting to venture into building a RPi Squeezebox Touch and would be grateful if anyone could post a more up-to-date guide based on recommended hardware available today?

          I intend to build one with a 7" screen but no internal DAC is required (I have an asynchronous USB DAC) and it must be capable at minimum of streaming 24/192 PCM and DSD64, as my modded SB Touch does now.

          I'm a complete technophobe so would be most grateful if a kind soul could post a really clear guide! Thanks in advance.

            There are some howto guides under https://docs.picoreplayer.org/projects/
            If you want to build a player with touchscreen that does not run LMS, an Rpi 3B+ has more than enough computing power.
            In a nutshell you would need to install pCp 8.2.0 on the Pi, and make it work with your USB DAC. Then connect a touch screen that is compatible with the RPi, and install Jivelite on pCp (via the pCp Tweaks tab) for control of the player via the touch screen and for display of the user interface and the Now Playing screen.

            Although howto guides are available, in my opinion none of them is suitable for a complete beginner. If you really are a technophobe I expect you will run into several issues, and you should ask yourself if it wise to start such a project.
