Joggler Skin

Just thought I'd let you know I've been working on a Skin, forked off the WQVGAsmall skin, to hopefully get it displaying nicely on the O2 joggler.

I've had Squeezeplay up and running for a while now, I've posted the project to GitHub should anyone wish to see it so far.

Those Jogglers look pretty cool - though the OpenTablet 7 sounds like the "perfect Squeezebox Touch" because the docking station has Audio output, but you can also pick it up as a tablet. Anyway, just daydreaming...

Are they really 50 pounds? That seems pretty cheap! Might need to get one sent over this way. :-)

They were, back up to £100 now though.

If I had known this was at all possible I would have tried harder to get one when they were at £50!

This is very helpful and works on my 7" touch screen pretty well. It behaves differently from other skins in not running within a window, but filling the entire screen. I can't see in the code where this is done ... any pointers? Thanks for sharing - this could be quite popular.

Answering my own question:

Framework:setVideoMode(800, 480, 0, true) seems to determining whether its in a window (false) or full-screen (true).

Got mine working, had to change the wallpaper to the middle encore version, works a treat

Are you still having problems exitting back to ubuntu, i've found that if you go to Settings > Screen > Select Skin and choose the top one and it will minimise the window so it can be closed.

Multiple monitors on windows.

This skin size is perfect for my mimo um-740 usb touchscreen monitor, when I launch this in windows, it defaults to my primary screen. I wonder if there is a way to force this to a different monitor.

Glad people are finding the skin works well, still dabbling with it, if you want to check you have the latest version check the changelog on GitHub.

If anyone has any suggestions or things they would like changing just let me know and I will see what I can do.

cheers, it works fine, have you done an updated skin that shows larger artwork on the now playing screen, mine's still quite small

So how have you got Squeezeplay running on the Joggler to use this skin please? There seems to be an android and Ubuntu method, but I'd be interested to know what method and instructions you used to ensure I get it working. I just ordered a Joggler purely for Squeezeplay.

its running from ubuntu at the moment, but 3guk has talked about developing an image that runs squeezeplay straight from boot.

use either the basic Ubuntu or Ubuntu NBE images from the www.joggler.info forum (http://www.joggler.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=441)
then add squeezebox and the skin from here: http://wiki.github.com/3guk/Joggler-...how-to-install

Ordered one for delivery on monday, can,t wait to tinker. Hoping this will work for me in the kitchen as a squeezeplayer. An image that booted straight into squeezeplay would be superb

I ordered one on Friday, not sure when I'll get it, but I'm looking forward to playing around with it.

I guess I've got quite a bit of reading to do as well.
