Having problems with last version of SqueezePlay running on Mac. It is preventing the Mac screensaver and Power save modes (Display Sleep) to start. Anybody having the same problem? Can I do something with it ?
Great product, but if Mac (and display) has to be on 24/7, it becomes unusable.
I also have this problem. Sadly, I think it is a shortcoming of OS/X where it confuses application activity with user activity; as opposed to an issue with Squeezeplay itself.
As Classical music (esp. operas) tens to be quite long I consider thia a nice feature and not a bug as it prevents the screensaver from locking the screen in those cases. I always close SP when not in use (and also power off my amp, Touch and Controller). My LMS & SB Radios are always on, though.
At the risk of bumping this already old thread, I just wanted to add a +1 to this issue. It's pretty darn annoying to have your music player trigger activity so the machine can't screen save or sleep. Considering the original poster was from 2009 and the issue hasn't been resolved yet, I wonder if it really ever will.
Anyone figure this out yet?
I just started using Squeezeplay on a Macbook. Great app for tying in to LMS. I'd like to have the screensaver come on to contribute its part to the listening experience.
