    Hmm... I've never seen this. Just did about 30 requests at a rate of
    roughly 1r/s. No problem at all.

    I've seen LMS send crazy numbers of login requests to MySB. I certainly
    hope we're not suffering from something similar in the plugin update code...

      I downloaded pCP this afternoon and it was only coming down at 200Kbps

      Maybe same thing ?

        probably not relevant here, shot in the dark, but I get "429 too many requests" errors from websites from time to time when accessing through a VPN (even google's search site). I don't know why, but am guessing that the web server is seeing alot of requests from the same VPN server. Of course I know very little of the IT world, so it's just a guess.
