I've noticed that when I use SoftSqueeze to listen to Internet radio, CPU
usage of slim.exe shoots up to 70-80% whilst when I use same to listen to my
ripped collection of MP3s, CPU usage of slim.exe is about 2%. Interestingly,
when internet radio is being streamed to my SqueezeBox, Slim.exe still has a
low CPU utilization. Does this imply that there is some "innefficiency" in
the way SoftSqueeze and SLIM.exe operate together on internet radio? Is
there a way to fix this so SLIM.exe uses less CPU resources?

Yes, several people have now commented on this problem. I have been
trying to track it down tonight, but so far have not had any luck - my
slimserver cpu usage is always low. If someone could email me (offlist)
the slim server slimproto debug captured when listening to the Internet
radio, starting just before press the play button and including a few
seconds into the stream, then this might help track it down.

Richard
