Hi All,

I have Slim Server 5.4.0 running on XP with SP2 used with the originall
slimp3. For some time now (version 5.0 and up), Slim server seems to
randomly crash/stop. There is no particular thing in the log.txt file that
I see (after restart).

The only thing I can correlate seems to be the message below in the
application event log:

"The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be
able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and
Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Perl
interpreter failed."

Now I've since re-installed WinXP from scratch and reinstalled everything
but the problem doesn't go away. It happens when the slimp3 is just off or
sitting idle, as well as when playing music. So I have no place to start.

If anyone has suggestions of what to look for, what debug to turn on, etc. I
will be happy to try. It seems to crash pretty regularly, so it is easy to
test things out.

Thanks and BTW, I love all the new features of 5.4. Can't wait to add up a
few more bucks and order one of the new cool looking squeeze boxes.
