Logitech to Announce Sale of Squeezebox line to newly formed Slimdevices, Inc.

NEWARK, Calif. & MORGES, Switzerland--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Logitech International (SIX: LOGN) (Nasdaq: LOGI) today announced that it will transfer all assets related to Squeezebox branded networked music players and mysqueezebox.com web services to a newly formed California company, Slimdevices, Inc. The newly formed Slimdevices, Inc. is a rebirth of a company that previously had this name. Key shareholders include Sean Adams and Erland Isaksson. The Squeezebox TOUCH and RADIO will continue as products under the Slimdevices brand. In May 2013, Slimdevices will be unveiling its new products, the Transporter II and Boom II.

There will be a teleconference to discuss this transaction on Thursday, April 1, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. A live webcast of the call will be available on the Logitech corporate website at http://ir.logitech.com.

I listened to the conference call via web. They noted that a new team of engineers has been hired and all outstanding bugs at bugs.slimdevices.com have been assigned to this team. They expect all bugs to be addressed by June 1.

It was a simplistic calculation , i simply looked at the amount of bugs in bugzilla and the given time frame :)))

(For real , you probably rewrite the whole thing when code gets decades old and very tangled it's probably less work)
