the new 5.4 is a great version- kudos to those
involved.

When I installed the new iTunes updater it
significantly slowed my machine down. It only slows
it down when a song ends and the next one starts
(writting to tunes I suspect).

Maybe I messed up installing it. I put the iTunes.pm
in the plugin folder along with the
"iTunesUpdateSupport" folder. I left out the file
that ends in .pl as I am not using the compile option.
I took off he option that will start iTunes
automatically also. I think I did everything correct
but still getting the server freeze as I mentioned and
about a 5 second stall in the music at the begining of
each song.

Dan

PS, I am using a TRS-80 with 16k

I dont use this plugin, but there should be a setting (likely in server
settings, plugins) to do updates offline. You will need ActiveState perl if
you are on windows, but you can then run an update ( some .pl file) manually to
enter all yoru recorded updates to the itunes library. if you select not to run
iTunes, then the plugin would not be able to update itunes on the fly, thus
causing your delays.
