The "I'm Going Home" portion of the Woodstock movie was one of the highlights of the movie. Watching that for the first time as a teenager was something. Got to see Ten Years After a few times in the early 70s. Never failed to satisfy. Also loved his mellow stuff (A Space in Time) and joint work with Mylon Lefevre (On the Road to Freedom).

That was my first thought when I saw the title of the thread. He's gone home...

          Stonedhenge

Still think their 3rd album "Stonedhenge" from '69 is one of their best. Much jazzier, before they got sucked into hard rock through audience pressure post-Woodstock. Spent an hour or so right in front of Lee's lead guitar speaker when they played at Manchester university in my ill-spent youth. Don't think my hearing ever recovered!

          RIP old son, and thanks.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it ...

Great album. Some songs almost psychedelic. Organ/keyboard work much more up front and in some cases Alvin's vocals are more like a Mose Allison. This album would be quite a shock for someone buying after only hearing Woodstock's "I'm Going Home"....
