How about something based on the old Slimp3? You wouldn't need digital outs
for a clock radio. I think MP3 sound quality would be fine. Is the hardware
used for the Slimp3 still available? Nothing too fancy, just a small plastic
unit with two 3 or so inch speakers and some basic controls... could be
