Steinar,
This is probably not much use but I had the same problem when WMA
streaming was first introduced in the 5.4 nightlies.
The problem just disappeared the next time I rebooted my XP server.

Now Softsqueeze uses more CPU time than Slimserver and wmadec combined
when playing WMA Radio.

Subject: [slim] High CPU load when streaming WMA

When streaming WMA radio stations, the slimserver process is using
approx 80% of
my CPU resources (P4 2GHz). I am running the latest nightly on XP Home
SP1.
This is happening regardless of what radio station I am tuning into.

Any clues what the reason could be?

Steinar
