Why's that? I mean, if the new display is nice then a TFT display with
Flash would be better.

Thanks,
Phillip

in that case, get a miniITX system with a 12" TFT touchscreen, load up a browser
and use the gordon skin.

That sorta depends on your definition of "better", doesn't it?

A TFT display would be capable of finer resolution, but at the expense
of visibility from a distance and/or off-center. Flash capability means
redesigning to use a beefier processor (that, ironically, would be used
more for the display than for playing music), which raises costs both in
unit terms and in terms of scrapping existing design investment. And
the resultant unit would not play your music any better than a
Squeezebox does.

Force-fitting Flash capability on the player itself doesn't support the
primary mission. There are at least two Flash-based skins for
SlimServer. Leave the eye candy where it belongs: on the computer screen.

Gordon, as mentioned a few times before is included with 5.3.1 onward. I have no
idea what the other one is. I dont recall any other announcements in that
regard.

'Gordon' is one of them, and ships with the current nightly. I can't
recall the other one offhand, but it was a third-party skin designed for
touchscreen usage (and looked pretty darned good to me).
