View Full Version : connection issues with Mac OS Mountain Lion
I have a SB Touch which worked perfectly when I was using Mac Lion OS.
I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion and it's now practically useless. No other changes just the 'upgrade'.
Initially SB wouldn't connect then searched for ages to show tracks or artists, it then finally streamed and stopped on and off for an hour until I got so fed up I gave up. I constantly got messages saying it had trouble connecting to my iMac, and rarely streamed for more than a minute without disconnecting.
Any suggestions.

Can you provide more details about your configuration and the version of LMS you are running? I have Mountain Lion and have seen no degradation of performance with my Squeezeboxes.
Is LMS actually running? Please check the settings pane for LMS

Sounds to me like your Mac is going back to sleep. There have been long discussions on this on earlier threads - see for example http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?96932-Wake-on-Lan-on-OSX-Mountain-Lion.
I suggest you download install the latest 7.8 nightly from http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.8 - choose the package version which also has the benefit of running a 64 bit pref pane (see http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?97007-New-installer-and-64-bit-PrefPane-for-OSX). If you are not already running 7.8 you will probably find that your Touch will prompt to do a firmware update too.
Good luck with this.

Thanks for the reply
Server appears to be running, version is 7.7.2/r33893.
It does play and then stops.
