Some squeezebox users may also use Boxee Boxes. They are also dropping the original (only 2 years!) product and moving to a new product that is not backwards compatible (and has less functionality for most users). They promise continued "maintenance" only for the old Boxee software, but no one knows what that really means. And there are lots of bugs that have never been fixed. Like the title says, "sound familiar?

Ooooh ... they ARE angry those boxeesters!

They even removed the ability to play local content in their new product :O .

Logitech did not dare that (yet) on the UE platform ,that be proactive as most support and bugs arise from badly running local server and misstaged flaky libraries....... :P

And they are Angry, btw thanks for the heads up I think I still can find a boxee in stores near me .

Was thinking of getting one of those to ? I think I have a new line of work ,every product i fancy will fail in the market any venture capitalist can PM me I and we may have an agreement :)

I had just bought one a few weeks ago based on recommendations on the vortexbox forum. Never got around to installing, so now I've just returned it unopened to amazon for a full refund. I only want to support one discontinued product at a time. ;-)
