Hi Guys

trying to use an old Mac mini as a music server but i am having trouble getting the Server to work

I have about 14000 tracks in my library but cannot get the server to find them all or to stream to my Touch

the Mini has 1GB of Ram

I had similar issues with Twonky and an older version fixed the problem

I am running the latest version of the server

Any help appreciated

OS? LMS version? Touch won't play any tracks? What file type are the files that LMS cannot find? Are these files DRM protected?

Hi
Thanks for you interest

Os X 10.5 8

Latest version of Server 7.7.2

files are .aiff

server wont find and catalogue the tracks and the server keeps stopping

i had it working on a previous newer Macbook but i have given that to my daughter

it is happily running Twonky for my Linn DS now that i have found an older version that is supported on the G4 PPC architecture

hope this helps

ok I have got it working

I had forgotten i had factory reset the player and so needed to update the software to match the server but it will only scan my library up to the letter E about 3500 tracks of my 14,000 any ideas?

the scan keeps on giving the following media scan terminated unexpectedly

thanks

ok can anybody help

it keeps stopping at 3499 files every time so it seems it is either a size issue of a file issue or a setting issue

i am running 7.7.2 on touch and mac mini which is os x 10.5.8

let me know if you need any more information

Cheers

> let me know if you need any more information

check scanner.log and server.log to find a hint about the file where it
breaks.
