Quick question: I have long since discontinued my email account that is used with mysqueezebox.com.
Does it matter? Am I missing any emails?
Didn't want to bother setting up another mysqueezebox.com account with a current email address and updating 5 devices if it doesn't matter.

Thanks,
Roger

I don't think it matter. No emails ever sent.

Because is saw the note: "Please note: if you change your account email address, you will be immediately logged out and required to reactivate your account." It looked like a pain, so if it doesn't matter, then i won't bother - so that is my question: does it really matter?

Thanks,
Roger

Clicking an activation link in a single email is too much bother? It took you more time to compose the above response than the actual activation process itself.

It may be so that op thinks he has to reconect every player and factory reset them ?

He has to change the settings under the mysqueezebox.com tab if he uses a local LMS server.
Then it should work ? I think , it was years since I did this .

Yes, that is correct, I have 3 Touches and 2 Booms and I am thinking that I would have to reset each one, then go into my squeezebox.com and set up my Apps and app passwords again. Same in LMS....

But like i said if there is no downside to an expired email address I will leave well enough alone.

Thanks,
Roger

Don't worry: you'd have to login to mysb.com (the web site) again, and
change the account information in LMS. No need to touch the players.

People tend to forget things they don't use any more. At some point you
_might_ need it for whatever reason and not be able to recover the
password or something. I'd rather change it today...

Michael,

You are right all I had to do is change the email address in mysqueezebox.com account screen, received an activation email, clicked on the link and everything is good to go.
All my devices were updated automatically - 3 Touches and 2 Booms. Easy.
