I have several classic squeezeboxes near my PC. I don't like the fact that I have to use two speaker sets i.e. for the PC and the SB. Is there not a way to connect the PC and the Squeezebox at the same time to the same speakerset? At the moment i have the logitech Z2300

THe only way I was thinking it could be possible would be if the motherboard has an SPDIF input.

What are your thougths??

What inputs do the speakers have? I took a look at a few product pages, but I couldn't find that info.

Also, note that if you didn't run them through some sort of input switch/pre-amp you would want to be careful not to be sending signals simultaneously from the pc and the SB.

My speakers have additional line-in for additional input. If you don't have that you may find a y-connector for line-out to speakers and try that. Not sure if will do something funny to sound though: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-3-5mm-Stereo-Adapter-Jacks/dp/B0002ZPF3U
You could run the squeeze through the line-in of the pc back out the speakers? This should merge pc audio and line-in if you have right settings.
Could run a software player on the pc and control it with the physical player (oops I see have classics, this will only work with touch)?

I use this to hook up my SBT and TV to A2s. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005GSB4OC/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_7?ie=UTF8&smid=A3LLMZ9K72U9P2.
Or you can use a audio source selector like http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&page=1&rh=n%3A172282%2Ck%3Aaudio%20input%20selector.
