Here is the last few lines of the log when I clicked rescan

Can't call method "id" without a package or object reference at
/PerlApp/Slim/Utils/Prefs.pm line 441.

Any ideas?

you might get a hint as to exactly what is crashing if you look in the event
viewer. Alternatively, you can run the server from the command line like
so:

stop the server
click start->run
type "c:\program files\slimserver\server\slim.exe --d_info --d_itunes"


you will then see text output from scan and from checking itunes. wait
until
initial load up is done, then click rescan or wipe cache from the web ui.
the
messages will then show you what is causing the crash.

This message indicates that you have no client/player connected at the time, or
that the slimserver has not yet detected a client when you press the rescan
link.
