I run 2 Squeezeboxs and according to the slimserver
they are located at the following:

The IP address for this player is: 192.168.1.101:17092
The IP address for this player is: 192.168.1.102:16913

I have tried the following:

I think you are right though 192.168.1.1 is my router
address.

Here is my current router information:

(MAC Address: 00-0C-41-7F-CB-22)
IP Address: 192.168.1.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
DHCP server: Enabled

Internet:
(MAC Address: 00-0C-41-7F-CB-23)
IP Address: 68.54.248.224
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.128
Default Gateway: 68.54.248.129
DNS: 68.48.0.6
68.87.96.16
68.48.0.12
DHCP Remaining Time: 6 days 10:28:40

I'm totally lost, but if anyone has ideas...

Thanks.
Nathan

You need to use the address of the COMPUTER running the SlimServer
software. If the IP address of the computer is 192.168.1.100, then the
URL would be:

http://192.168.1.100:9000/Handheld/

Note the capitalization of Handheld and the slash at the end...

What is the IP address of the computer that's running SlimServer? If
you're running Windows (2000 and XP) then you can go to Start | Run |
cmd which will take you to a DOS window. If you then type ipconfig, it
will spit out a bunch of information about your computer's network
connection.

The IP Address line is the IP of your computer which is what you need to
put in the PDA's address field. Here's a typical configuration for a
home network:

Cable Modem (Outside IP) -> Router (192.168.1.1)
PC 1 (192.168.1.101)
PC 2 (192.168.1.102)
Ethernet Device X (could be a squeezebox, webTV, etc.) (192.168.1.103)
etc.

The PC running SlimServer is running the software that lets you control
the squeezebox. It seems a bit confusing but you have to tell the
SlimServer what you want the Squeezebox to do and the server relays that
information appropriately.

I hope this helps!

Try turning off your firewall to see if the page will then appear... If this
works, you will need to add a rule a MacAfee

This is what I use to access the Slimserver web page:

http://servername:9000/

where "servername" is the _name_ (not IP address) of the
computer running the server. The beauty of this is that
if the router ever needs to reissue IP addresses (e.g.
after a power outage), it still works.

Perhaps there are instances where this doesn't work, but
it does for me.

Why don't you just assign the server a static IP address and, likewise,
enter an appropriate entry in the routing table on the router?

For my interface, I just wrote a web portal with a link to
192.168.1.100:9000 that loads into another frame. Then I use the Touch
interface (slightly modified CSS and graphic colors) in the subframe.

If you can't remember the address of the server, just save it as a
favorite in PocketIE.

PLAY link - I've assumed that it's a bug in the Palm browser but
