Not really sure. There are no other Whiffy devices - the rest of the
network is wired. The Whiffy was purchased purely for the SlimP3 - talk
about given the wrong end of the stick by the supplier!
I ran the hardwired configuration again for a couple of hours while doing
all sorts of things (that would normally interrupt unwired playback) and it
worked OK.
Seems the Whiffy is to blame. Useless. Waste of time and dosh.

So you have the SLIMP3 connected via Ethernet direct to the PC, but when you
copy files to the other PC over the separate WiFi connection it *still*
interrupts playback?

Neil,

It sounds to me like you've got a flaky wireless network rather than
there being any inherent problem with your slimp3 device.
