Hi,

A few people have reported that recent versions of Softsqueeze sometimes
restart tracks, at the same time a "Lost contact with slimserver"
message is displayed. I am still trying to work out what's happening
(its reported as bug 573). It would really help to get a little more
information from people that have this bug. So far it seems that it is
only effects Windows 2000 computers, has anyone seen this on another OS?
If you have this problem are you running a firewall, and if so does it
log any events while Softsqueeze is running. As a workaround you could
try configuring Softsqueeze to use the Notrike display emulation, does
this fix the problem?

Thanks,
Richard

Richard,
Thanks for working this issue.
I experience it even running softsqueeze on the slimserver machine. (w2k,
dual xeon kernel)

If there is anything I could provide, let me know and I'll do my best to
help.

John,

This problem has now been fixed with the slimserver 5.4 release
candidate and Softsqueeze 1.10.

Regards,
Richard
