The way you can jump from one service to another from the Squeezebox context menu is pure genius. Last night I spent a few hours listening to my Recommended Radio from last.FM, reading bios, then jumping over to Rhapsody to look up the artists I wanted to hear more of. Now I have about a dozen new albums lined up to sample on Rhapsody. Good thing I just cashed in more credit card points for Amazon gift cards...

Oh, yes! That reminds me of something else... creating one playlist with several radio stations is also a godsend, especially for those stations that play obnoxious commercials. I make one playlist with the stations I like and can jump between them when the commercials come on. I really hate commercials.

I agree that this stuff never gets old. I spend a lot of time listening vs. watching the tube. I also have playlists for college football stations, college basketball stations and pro stations. I can listen to any game anywhere anytime....and the postgame comments and interviews(winner or loser). The Squeezies are AWESOME. It's nice to know that there are others who are just as obsessed as I. I feel more normal now.

PS: I have many music playlists, too.

but, then how would you know what to spend your credit card on to get the points for your Amazon vouchers? In the media-consumerist complex you can't have one without the other.

Use credit card for everything. Pay one bill a month. Rack up points. Never carry a balance. The CC companies hate us.

Yes, they hate that 2-3% transaction fee from each vendor. ;-)

I was leaving an event yesterday when a friend mentioned she was thinking of asking for an internet radio for Christmas, and asked if I knew anything about them... Of course, it was half an hour later before we got out of there, and she'll soon also be enjoying these things as much as I do!
